What is Francotyp Postalia Mailing Postbase Mail Franking System?

FP Mailing or Francotyp Postalia has launched the Postbase in UK. The franking machine is designed to replace the previous “Optimail range of franking machines”. At last, FP dropped the “Thermal Ribbon” printing technology on low to mid volume Mail franking machines.

The Postbase Franking Machine Series comes in 3 different models including Qi3, Qi4 and Qi6. Qi3 is the simplest model while Qi6 features automatic envelope feeder. These range features LAN connectivity and colour touchscreen.

They are also built-in with label dispenser.  However, The Postbase models follow the earlier versions such as FP Optimail 35 / Ultimail / Jetmail labels where a box of 1000 franking labels has a price of £66.00 per thousand labels.

Presently, we are working on a more cost effective compatible version of labels.  We are also working on compatible Royal Mail approved cartridge that you can use with these franking machines.
